Founder’s Message

I am Pridhvi Panneru, founder of the non-profit organization Citizens for Animals. My lifelong passion for animals—especially dogs—has inspired me to dedicate myself to their welfare and protection. Over more than a decade of working as a rescue coordinator at an animal shelter, I have gained invaluable hands-on experience in emergency rescues, medical care, and rehabilitation for dogs and various other species.

My journey began with rescuing animals trapped in dangerous situations, such as borewells and plastic containers. Sadly, many of these incidents stem from human negligence or unavoidable circumstances. This drove me to launch awareness and outreach programs across communities, schools, and colleges, educating people on how to protect and care for dogs and other living beings.

My home has become a safe haven for rescued dogs, where we provide shelter, medical treatment, and rehabilitation. Through our efforts, we rescue, neuter, and either release animals back into their natural environments or help them find loving forever homes.

I am committed to building a kinder, more compassionate world for all sentient beings, and I invite everyone to join me in protecting and advocating for the welfare of dogs, animals, birds, and beyond. Together, we can create a safer and more humane future for every creature that shares our planet.
